Spur of the moment decisions can have huge repercussions as we all know. An expensive handbag can leave a huge dent in your bank balance, a late night hook-up can leave you blushing the next day, but a tattoo can stay with you for life. Until very recently the only means to rid your skin of the ink was via painful lasering but there’s an easier antidote in reach and it's know as Rejuvi.
Rejuvi cream is the latest buzz on London’s infamous Harley Street and involves a process of tiny injections of cream into the skin. Much in the same way ink is administered, the cream reaches the same top epidermis of the skin. As the Rejuvi is absorbed by the pigmented cells, it creates a bond. This bond softens the ink and pushes it to the surface of the skin where it forms a dark scab. Over a period of six to eight weeks, the dead skin flakes off taking the tattoo with it.
Is it painful? According to Stuart Harrison, director of the Oxford Skin Clinics of Harley Street, it is "uncomfortable rather than painful." A very hopeful statement for those regretting their body art decisions…
The technique actually originated in the States but it was only recently discovered that injecting it boosted its effectiveness greatly. Using a new micropigment gun, the cream can be administered in a quick shot with minimal scarring risk.
